The Department of Paediatric Ophthalmology utilizes the latest diagnostic and treatment techniques and state-of-the art equipment, including diagnostic and surgical
microscopes and modern ultrasound (both A and B modes), ophthalmic fundus photography and computer based diagnostics.

In addition, the department boasts the only wide-field digital imaging system (RetCam II) found in the Baltic States.

The department also operates a teaching program for residents training in the specialty of paediatric ophthalmolgy and care of children`s eye problems.
